Ukrtransgaz to buy three gas turbine engines from Zorya-Mashproekt

Public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz wants to sign a contract with Zorya-Mashproekt state-owned enterprise (Mykolaiv) supply three DG90L2.1 gas turbine engines for UAH 271.5 million, the press service of Ukrtransgaz has reported.

The engines are bought under the negotiations procedure.

"New Ukrainian-made engines DG90L2.1 of 16 MW are bought to repair gas pumping units of Ukrtransgaz's compressor stations. Outdated engines will be replaced… The installation of next generation engines is the most optimal technical solution providing for the increase of economic and ecological figures of compressor stations to global standards," the company said.

Ukrtransgaz, a wholly owned subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates the country's gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities with a total capacity of 31 bcm.

Zorya-Mashproekt is one of the world's leaders in gas turbine construction, designing and constructing gas turbines for the marine merchant fleet and the navy, as well as for power industry and gas transport. Since April 2011, Zorya-Mashproekt has been part of Ukroboronprom Concern.
