Finance ministry to exempt some land owners and leasers from risk assessment monitoring

Ukraine's Finance Ministry has drawn up a draft order seeking to exempt taxpayers who own over 0.01 ha of land and some leasers of land parcels from monitoring of risk assessment for registration of tax invoices.

According to the document posted on the ministry's website on August 14, the ministry intends to exempt taxpayers who declared own land parcels with gross area of over 0.01 ha for 2016 before February 20, 2017 or a leased land parcel in state or municipal ownership with gross area of over 1 ha from monitoring of risk assessments.

It is also planned to allow taxpayers who declared a land parcel of over 200 ha, which is not in state or municipal ownership and there was no synchronous reshuffling of the founder and director of the taxpayer from January 1, 2017, also not to monitor the risks.

These amendments are to improve the criteria for assessing risks enough to stop registration of tax invoices or readjustment calculations in the unified register of tax invoices.

According to the posting on the ministry's website, remarks and proposals to the draft document can be submitted during next 20 days.
