Agrovesna 2011 berry cooperative plans to build an agroindustrial park for cooling, processing and packaging its products in Kyiv region.

"We are looking for an investor not only with money but also with technologies for the construction of an agroindustrial park, where there will be cooling, freezing, packaging, processing of fruit and berry products. Investments in such a park are estimated at $20 million to $30 million," cooperative director Oleksandr Tkachuk told Interfax-Ukraine.

Now 12 cooperative member companies manage 500 hectares of land. Participants in the cooperative grow blueberries, currants, raspberries, and strawberries.

"We have dormitories for 500 employees, joint equipment, we get consultations of foreign specialists together, we buy plant protection agents together, buy packaging, cool berries, and we jointly sell them," he added.

He said the enterprises that become members of the cooperative initially invest UAH 1-5 million in development.

Agrovesna 2011 sells its products in the domestic market, but plans to develop exports, therefore it is now passing GlobalGAP certification.
