Program to support farmers to be developed by Aug, funded in Sept-Oct - Groysman
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has stated the program of targeted support for farmers is to be developed by August 1, and financed by introducing changes to the national budget for 2017 in September-October.
"I've recently set up a working group jointly with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, which includes all associations of farmers. There will be another meeting and we will develop and present a targeted program to support farmers. I would like this program to be formed by August 1. We have preliminarily determined the term," the prime minister said during the "hour of questions to the government" in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to him, such a program should mean targeted support for small farms, which should become the basis of the agricultural sector.
"I think in September we will ask the parliament in the next changes to the country's budget, which we will present in September, possibly in October, to start financing such a program," Groysman said.
