PM: Ryanair should be offered not to quit plans to fly to Lviv

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman believes that during the negotiations with the largest low cost airline in Europe Ryanair (Ireland) Ukraine should offer the airline not to quit plans to fly to Lviv.

"I think that it is appropriate to make an offer during the negotiations that they are left in Lviv, as the local airport provided for all the conditions for cooperation with Ryanair. Of course, Boryspil [airport] should establish cooperation and other regional airports in the future," he said at a government meeting on Wednesday.

The prime minister recalled a meeting with the Infrastructure Ministry, airports and everyone who is related to the development of aviation held on July 11.

"I have only one conclusion: we need a strategy for developing Ukrainian airports and aviation, as each airport selects a place in the sun on their own. We have decided that by September the strategy will be drawn up. We also thought about the necessity of speeding up this process. I think that it would be ready by August," he said.

He said that the low cost airlines should come not only to the central, but also regional airports of the country.
