Deputy Chairman of the European Commission for Financial Stability and Financial Services Valdis Dombrovskis has said that the European Commission intends to allocate EUR 200 million to Ukraine in 2017 in the form of grants.

"This year, the European Commission will decide on new programs worth about EUR 200 million in grants," he said during the conference on reforms in Ukraine in London on Thursday.

According to Dombrovskis, the EU previously decided to allocate macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 3.4 billion, of which EUR 2.8 billion has already been provided.

He also said that Ukraine has significant successes in achieving macroeconomic stability.
