An agreement on visa regime facilitation and an agreement on readmission were signed between Ukraine and Switzerland in Kyiv on Wednesday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.

"We have just signed two agreements. I signed an agreement on the facilitation of the visa regime... And Interior Minister Arsen Avakov signed a readmission agreement," he said at a joint news conference with Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Didier Burkhalter said in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian minister said during the meeting the parties discussed the escalation of the situation in Donbas, issues of bilateral cooperation and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

Klimkin also said the consistent and unequivocal support by Switzerland for Ukraine in its struggle for independence, including the imposition of sanctions against the Russian Federation, means a lot to Ukrainians.
