State budget of 2017 overfulfilled by 13.8% in five months due to special confiscation

The revenues of the national budget of Ukraine in January-May 2017 amounted to UAH 325.77 billion, which is 13.8%, or UAH 39.5 billion, higher than the target, the State Treasury Service has said.

According to its data, compared to the same period in 2016 revenues increased by UAH 106.54 billion, or by 48.6%.

The State Treasury said if in April the budget received UAH 85.03 billion thanks to the receipt of UAH 29.7 billion to the special fund from special confiscation and UAH 10 billion from the National Bank, or 42.2% more than the plan, in May revenues fell to UAH 65.98 billion, and the plan saw a 1.9% shortage.

Compared to May last year, revenues in the past month rose by 39.6%, or by UAH 18.71 billion.

Tax revenues for January-May 2017 from January-May 2016 grew by 24.6%, to UAH 141.61 billion, while customs revenues by 31.5%, to UAH 114.68 billion. The provisional plan for the five months of this year was overfulfilled by 0.9% and 15.2% respectively.

In May tax receipts were higher than last year's figure by 13.8%, but below the plan by 7.5% and amounted to UAH 32.12 billion.
