Ukraine to provide updated macroeconomic forecast to IMF on Tuesday or Wednesday taking into account Donbas blockade effects

Finance Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk has said that Ukraine will provide updated macroeconomic indicators to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday or Wednesday taking into account the consequences of the Donbas blockade.

"We started negotiations on Sunday, now they are at the final stage, so I think that we will finish them today or tomorrow," the finance minister told journalists in Kyiv on Tuesday.

According to him, the National Bank of Ukraine has already presented its vision and now the Finance Ministry intends to adjust its forecasts and submit the final forecast of the consequences of the Donbas blockade to the IMF.

"The IMF as a creditor should understand what the impact [of the blockade] will be," the minister said.

Answering journalists' question about how the postponement of the consideration of the allocation of the next tranche by the IMF will affect the hryvnia exchange rate, Danyliuk said: "A couple of days won't have any effect whatsoever."
