Cabinet defines Interior Ministry, Ministry of Finance and Ukravtodor as main managers of EUR100 mln loan from Poland

The Cabinet of Ministers has defined the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Finance and the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) as the main managers of a EUR100 million loan raised from Poland.

According to cabinet resolution No. 73 of February 14, the government approved the procedure for implementing the agreement with the government of Poland for issuing a loan on the terms of tied aid in the amount of EUR100 million. The State Border Guard Service and the State Fiscal Service are responsible for the implementation of programs to be fulfilled for the loan funds.

The report states this decision will allow using loan funds in the amount of up to EUR100 million to finance projects for the development of cross-border road infrastructure and construction of checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

In particular, the national budget of Ukraine for 2017 states credit funds will be used to finance projects for the construction, reconstruction and repair of highways in the western region, for the further quality combination with the roads of Poland, the project of modernization of automated border control systems, the project for the development of border road infrastructure and checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
