The Ukrainian government has shaped the realistic draft budget for 2017 for second reading, keeping in line with the initially declared priorities, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk has said.

"Expenditure is covered with realistic revenue… The government has kept priorities outlined in the draft national budget drawn up for first reading when it revised the document," he said presenting the bill in parliament early in the morning.

He said that among the priorities is the increase of defense power and social standards, development of education, healthcare, targeted support to agriculture, development of road infrastructure, energy efficiency incentives, development and support of local budgets.

The finance minister recalled that the draft 2017 national budget includes the resources required to double wages, to UAH 3,200.
