Crown Agents sign agreement with Health Ministry for 10 procurement programs

Britain's Crown Agents has signed an agreement with Ukraine's Health Ministry for 10 medicine procurement programs using 2016 budget funds.

Crown Agents said in a press release that the agency will procure medicines and medical products worth UAH 932.22 million for the ministry.

At present, Crown Agents has signed agreement to procure medicines to treat patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (UAH 357.222 million) and procure prosthetic implants and implantation tools (UAH 44.886 million).

Contraceptives for women with serious diseases will be procured under the reproductive health program (UAH 1.238 million), medicines used to provide first aid to people bleeding (UAH 16.625 million) and medicines to treat neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (UAH 51.116 million).

Crown Agents will procure medicines and consumable materials for child dialysis (UAH 35.591 million), medicines and medical products to develop blood donation (UAH 160.915 million), consumable materials for peritoneal dialysis (UAH 143.795 million), consumable materials for blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin tests (UAH 19.740 million) and HIV tests (UAH 101.092 million).

The first procurement agreement under two programs using 2016 budget funds were signed by Crown Agents on October 27. On December 1, the agency signed an expanded agreement to procure under two more programs. In the middle of December it is planned to sign an expanded agreement under one more additional program.
