Naftogaz Ukrainy has extended a contract for provision of legal services with Wikborg, Rein & Co. Advokatfirma DA (Norway), which provides support for arbitral proceedings on Naftogaz's suit against Russia's Gazprom.

According to a state holding report in the ProZorro system, the corresponding document was signed on December 1.

The cost of procurement made under a negotiating procedure is EUR 6 million, the term of the contract is until the end of 2017.

The Norwegian company in the 2014-2015 and the beginning of 2016 provided support for arbitral proceedings on Naftogaz's suit against Gazprom and represented the state holding in relations with the Russian company when settling disputes by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, in other courts and authorities of foreign states, foreign or international arbitration courts.

The selection of this company was also due to its successful experience of doing business in the field of energy and natural gas in the interests of energy customers, availability of positive experience in representation of clients in gas disputes.
