Poland's LOT airline to start servicing flights from Warsaw to Kyiv Airport in Feb 2017

Poland's LOT airline from February 26, 2017 will start servicing the flight from Warsaw to Kyiv (Zhuliany) Airport, LOT Corporate Communications Executive Director Adrian Kubicki said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

He said that first six flights a week will be serviced and seven starting 2017 summer. He added that this is the fifth airline's direct flight to Ukraine. LOT also flies to Boryspil, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv.

Kubicki said that Ukrainian passengers can change the planes in Warsaw flying to other destinations, in particular, long-haul flights. The airline's network includes 60 cities.

Initially the flights will be serviced every day, apart from Saturday. Departure from Warsaw is at 22:40 and from Kyiv at 06:00. The airline also services two daily flights from Boryspil airport.

Embraer-195s with 112 seats will be used to fly to Kyiv Airport.

"Kyiv International Airport is a modern airport located in the business part of Ukraine's capital. We are glad that today we are the only carrier from the EU that offered daily flights from this airport to Warsaw," Kubicki said.

He did not specify the fare. According to the booking system of the airline, a one way economy class ticket for March 10, 2017, for example, costs UAH 4,500.

Kubicki said that LOT offers various discounts if passengers decide to fly without a luggage or without meal on board.
