Ukraine, Poland agree on repair of six border roads using Polish loan

It was decided during a visit of representatives of Poland's Infrastructure Ministry to Ukraine on November 10 that overhaul of around 175 km of six Ukrainian border roads would be carried out.

The press service of the State Automobile Road Agency (Ukravtodor) reported that the decision was included in the protocol of the Ukrainian-Polish working group for transport issues signed by Deputy Infrastructure and Construction Minister of Poland Jerzy Szmit and Deputy Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Lavreniuk.

It is planned to repair the sections of the following roads: O 142001 Yavoriv – Hrushiv (km 0+000 – km 19+900); T 14-03 Hrushiv – Nemyriv (km 0+000 – km 12+200); T 14-18 Nyzhankovychi – Sambir – Drohobych – Stryi (km 0+000 – km 46+435); T 14-04 Chervonohrad – Rava Ruska (km 3+137 – km 56+307); T 14-01 Smilnytsia checkpoint – Stryi – Sambir (km 0+000 – km 29+960); N-22 Ustyluh – Lutsk – Rivne (km 0+420 – km 13+420).

EUR 68 million will be sent to overhaul Ukrainian border roads from the Polish loan.

Ukravtodor reminded that in September 2015 Ukraine and Poland signed an intergovernmental agreement on provision of a EUR 100 million loan to improve border roads and customs relations.
