Kyiv city's budget has extra UAH 4 bln, city development program revised

Lawmakers of Kyiv City Council have revised the budget and the city's social and economic development program for 2016.

The press service of Kyiv City Administration reported that in January-September 2016 the budget received UAH 27.8 billion, and this is 118% of the target. Kyiv received an additional UAH 4.3 billion.

"Kyiv City Council sent UAH 280 million to buy apartments for anti-terrorist operation (ATO) participants, members of the Heavenly Hundred heroes' families and persons suffered from Chornobyl disaster. A total of 265 apartments with a gross area of almost 18,000 square meters will be bought," the press service said.

In addition, UAH 15 million was sent to buy 10 specialized vehicles for people with disabilities.

Additional funds were provided for transport infrastructure. UAH 18 million will be sent to design the subway line to Vynohradar residential area in Kyiv and UAH 68 million to build a road from Chervonozoriany Avenue to the Kyiv (Zhuliany airport). Some 48 buses, 40 trolleybuses and eight tram wagons will be bought.

The city's budget was changed. Additional funds were sent for social protection of Kyiv residents, education, culture and arts.

The security system will be financed, too. UAH 30 million will be allocated for this purpose.
