Groysman hopes all changes will be put to 2017 state budget by Dec 1

Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman hopes the Verkhovna Rada until December 1 will manage to add changes to the draft law on the national budget for 2017 and it will be adopted on time.

"We hope that the law on the national budget will be passed until December 1 as provided by law. We have to enter the next fiscal year as planned," the premier said at a press briefing in Lviv.

He expressed hope that by that time the parliament would consider all the amendments and will be able to approve the budget for 2017.

Groysman stressed the submitted bill on the national budget for the next year is "an absolutely balanced draft budget."

The prime minister did not rule out that "populists, who say absurd things, will act like parasites" in the budget process.

"They say call it a murderous budget and that we'll need to compare it with the budget of 1991. If there are no arguments, some politicians will do what they have always done - you can change their image, but their insides remain false and dishonest," Groysman said.
