Aviation service decides not to issue license to new Ukrainian airline

Ukraine's State Aviation Service has decided not to issue a passenger and cargo transportation license to Ukrainian Wings Airline LLC (Kyiv).

According to order No. 756 dated September 26, the decision is explained by the provisions of Article 12 of the law on licensing of types of economic activities.

The grounds for dismissing the application to receive the license are the following: the application or any other document attached to the application is signed by an unauthorized person, drawn up not meeting the legislation requirements or not containing data that are to be included in the document.

The airline is to repeatedly submit the application.

Ukrainian Wings Airline was registered in Kyiv in January 2016. Its charter capital is UAH 5.714 million.

According to the register of civil aircraft, the airline has two Boeing 737-500 planes (registration numbers UR-BAA and UR-CNE) made in 1997 and 1990. These planes were earlier used by Bravo airliner.

The founders of Ukrainian Wings are Anatoliy Kirashenko and Liubov Orlovska who were earlier the co-owners of Bravo airline.

Bravo Airline was founded in April 2012. Its key partner in Ukraine is UM Air. President of UM Air is Rodrigue Elias Merhej and one of the ultimate beneficiaries is Elena Merhej.
