NBU: Deficit of Ukraine's consolidated budget comes to UAH 22.9 bln in Jan-July

The deficit of Ukraine's consolidated national budget in January-July 2016 amounted to UAH 22.884 billion, whereas in the first seven months of 2015 the surplus of the consolidated budget amounted to UAH 15.392 billion, according to the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

According to NBU data, consolidated budget expenditures for the period amounted to UAH 410.651 billion, revenues (excluding inter-budget transfers) to UAH 389.066 billion.

The national budget deficit in January-July amounted to UAH 49.945 billion compared to a deficit of UAH 2.268 billion during the same period of 2015. State budget expenditures since the year start and as of August 1 have reached UAH 349.996 billion, revenues - UAH 301.3 billion.

As reported, the deficit of the consolidated budget of Ukraine in January-June 2016 amounted to UAH 11.3 billion, while the surplus of the consolidated budget for the first six months of 2015 amounted to UAH 12.3 billion.

The national budget for 2016 is based on the forecast for GDP growth by 2% with inflation being 12%, whereas in 2015 inflation was 43.3%, while the decline in GDP was about 10.5%.
