Ukrtransgaz asks court to recover UAH 434 mln from Odesa port-side plant for gas

PJSC Ukrtransgaz has appealed to court to recover UAH 434 million from Odesa port-side chemical plant in payment for gas consumed in June this year, Ukrtransgaz Head Ihor Prokopiv has said at a press conference in Kyiv.

"In June the plant consumed 53 million cubic meters of gas, not buying it from anyone. On July 15 we closed the balance sheet, getting a "gap" on Odesa port-side plant. We bought gas with the coefficient of 1.2 and made a bill of UAH 434 million for the plant," he said.

Prokopiv added the plant's application for July was 100 million cubic meters. However, it was not possible to determine the source of gas supplies.

"We warned them five days before disconnection as required by law. Today the term expires. Ukrtransgaz has limited pressure from 9 atmospheres to 7.2 atmospheres, the process is continuing," the Ukrtransgaz head said.

He noted now Odesa port-side plant consumes 80,000 cubic meters of gas per day.
