European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Gunther Oettinger during his visit to Ukraine on July 25-26 will discuss issues of cooperation of the European Union and Ukraine in the field of digital economics and society.

The press service of the EU Delegation to Ukraine notes, that during the visit the European Commissioner will meet with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodomyr Groysman, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv and Chairman of the Informatization and Communication Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Danchenko.

"The cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in the field of the digital economics and digital society will be discussed at the meetings," the report says.

The commissioner also intends to make a speech at the high-level meeting, where the challenges and opportunities that the EU digital single market conveys for Ukraine will be discussed.

In the beginning of autumn in Brussels Oettinger intends to hold a meeting at the ministerial level with six Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) to continue discussing the idea of creating a digital community.
