The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will consider a draft instruction on the harmonization of the rules of connection to the power grid during its next meeting, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said at a government meeting on Friday.

"Deregulation – we should dedicate our next meeting to the power generation industry. All of Ukrainian businesses are moaning about inability to connect to the power grid – what kind of an electricity kingdom is that?" he said.

Groysman added that the government had mutual understanding with the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine regarding the harmonization of the rules of connection to the power grid.

"We have mutual understanding on the issue with the regulator. We have to uniform the rules of connection during the next meeting of the government. This should be done at the level of a governmental instruction for now and at the level of the legislation in future," he said.
