Ukrenergo sees 11.8% fall in power transmission via trunk power grids in Jan-March 2016

National energy company Ukrenergo in January through March 2016 cut electricity transmission through the country's backbone and interstate power grids by 11.8%, or by 3.956 billion kWh, to 29.562 billion kWh, the company's press service has reported.

Over the period under review, the cost of the company's electricity transmission services grew by 21.8%, or by UAH 152.485 million, to UAH 851.678 million.

According to the report, in January through March 2016 the company increased capital investment by 79.1% (by UAH 347.84 million), to UAH 787.532 million.

The company's total expenditure increased by 6.6% (by UAH 36.438 million), to UAH 585.836 million, in particular repair costs rose by 37.8% (by UAH 6.498 million), to UAH 23.683 million.

As reported, Ukrenergo in 2015 reduced transmission of electricity through main networks by 7.5% (by 9.747 billion kWh) compared to 2014, to 120.094 billion kWh. The cost of services for power transmission increased by 73% over the past year (by UAH 2.248 billion), to UAH 5.327 billion.
