A team of the public procurement reform in Ukraine that includes the public procurement regulation department of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, state enterprise Zvnishtorhvydav and ProZorro offices has decided to continue working at their posts, despite the fact that top managers of the ministry resigned.

"We continue working at our posts and "pushing" one of the few successfully developing reforms in Ukraine. We sincerely believe that without the minister's team and Maks [Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius and his deputy Maksym Nefyodov] the pace of our reform could seriously delay. This does not arouse joy with us, but we're ready to go all the way," Director of the ministry's public procurement regulation department Oleksandr Starodubtsev wrote on his Facebook on Friday.

He said that he believe that the top manager's decision to resign is courageous and the only right in the present situation when many reforms and fight against corruption are sabotaged.

Starodubtsev said that the decision to continue working was made by the team after consultations with Nefyodov.
