Ukraine cuts gas imports from Slovakia in first days of Dec

Ukraine on December 1 through December 3, 2015 decreased the volume of gas to import from Slovakia in its applications to 1.5-8.5 million cubic meters of gas a day, according to tentative data from the Slovakian gas transport system operator Eustream.

The application for December 1 was 1.5 million cubic meters and for December 2 and December 3 – 8.5 million cubic meters, while in the second half of November Ukraine daily imported 28.5 million cubic meters of gas from Slovakia.

The press service of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz told Interfax-Ukraine that no repair works that could force to reduce gas imports from Slovakia are carried out.

On December 1, 2015 Ukraine increased gas pumping from its underground storage facilities to 84.3 million cubic meters, while in the last days of November it was 45-55 million cubic meters a day.

Ukrtransgaz said that the application for imports of gas from Poland to Ukraine for December 3 is 0.9 million cubic meters and from Hungary – 0.5 million cubic meters.
