Kyivkhlib will raise prices for most popular bakery products from Dec 1

PJSC Kyivkhlib, the largest manufacturer of bread and bakery products in Kyiv, has announced an increase in prices for the most popular types of bread from December 1, 2015.

According to the company, the price of a sliced loaf weighing 0.5 kg will rise from UAH 5.34 to UAH 5.64, a "Ukrainian" bread weighing 0.95 kg from UAH 6.9 to UAH 7.92, a traditional wheat bread of 0.65 kg from UAH 5.64 to UAH 6.24.

The company claimed a shortage of working capital to cover the ongoing activities and a risk of stopping production of prices are kept at the current level.

"Unfortunately, since the last price increase on February 18, 2015 the economic situation in the country has worsened, an abundant inflation was observed, the value of all components of production were growing. As a result, PJSC Kyivkhlib appeared in a critical situation when production costs cannot be covered at the expense of internal resources," reads a press release.

PJSC Kyivkhlib was established in 1996 via the reorganization of state company Kyivkhlibprom. It is the largest producer of bread and bakery goods in Kyiv.
