PrivatBank connects to ProZorro public procurement system

The largest bank in Ukraine, PrivatBank (Dnipropetrovsk), has connected to the ProZorro public procurement system, the bank said in a press release.

“All tenders that will be held via ProZorro will be available for clients of the bank via Privat24 and the PrivatMarket site that we will launch in December,” Deputy Board Chairman Dmytro Dubilet said.

He said that the bank’s clients will be able to update their tenders and participate in the tenders of other clients on the PrivatMarket site.

Dubilet said that the launch of the service would expand the capability of the system and save public funds.

Since the launch of the ProZorro system (spring 2015), the state has saved over UAH 400 million by holding tenders worth UAH 5 billion, the bank said.

The ProZorro system created by Transparency International Ukraine is currently operating in ten regions: Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Khmelyntsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia regions.

PrivatBank was founded in 1992. As of July 7, its largest shareholders were Hennadiy Boholiubov and Ihor Kolomoisky, with shares of 45.3182% each.

The bank was the largest bank among 123 banks operating in the country on October 1, 2015 by total assets (UAH 241.809 billion), according to the NBU.
