Ukrtransgaz pumps 125 mcm of gas into UGSF since early October

PJSC Ukrtransgaz for the period from October 1 to October 11 had pumped 125 million cubic meters (mcm) of natural gas into Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities (UGSF), according to the company's PR department.

"As of October 12 Ukraine's gas storage facilities accumulated 15.8 billion cubic meters of gas, the daily injection [rate] is 9.8 million cubic meters," Ukrtransgaz said.

The company noted that in September, UGSFs were replenished with 1.2 billion cubic meters which is 30% higher than in September last year, and in general in the current year 8.248 billion cubic meters of gas has been pumped into UGS.

As reported, Naftogaz and the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry planned to accumulate 18-19 billion cubic meters of gas by the beginning of the heating season, but the injection volume was lower due to a lack of funds and the termination of gas purchases from Russia in July associated with the inconsistency of prices and conditions.
