Ukraine continues supplying electricity to Crimea in required amount – energy minister

Ukraine is continuing to supply electricity to Crimea in the required amount and there is no discussion of an "energy" blockade, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn has said.

"There is a clear decision of the Cabinet on electricity supply to Crimea, we are performing it... The ministry tries not to play any political games," he said.

The minister added that one of the power grids transmitting power to Crimea was damaged, but this did not affect supplies.

"Indeed, we saw one power grid pole was damaged and it was repaired. Today this work has not been completed, but deliveries are carried out in full," he said.

In addition, Demchyshyn said that in recent months Ukraine has not received payment for 100-120 million kWh of electricity supplied to the occupied areas of Donbas.
