Center to service An type aircraft to be opened in Astana – agreement

Ukrspecexport state concern and Kazakhstan Aviation Industry have signed an agreement on the creation and functioning of a center to service An-26, An-72 and An-74 aircraft in Astana.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the document was signed as a part of the official visit of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to Kazakhstan.

This document was the result of agreements reached during the fifth meeting of the Ukrainian-Kazakh intergovernmental commission for technical cooperation and it is aimed at long-term cooperation in the aviation sector.

According to the agreements, this concerns not only the organization of the first center in Asia to service aircraft of An type in Astana, but also supplies of technical documents and equipment by Ukraine. The agreement also foresees work on technical servicing and for military transport An-26 and An-27 aircraft, provision of repair services, and other services.
