In the morning on Thursday a group of law enforcement officers entered the administrative building of Illichivsk port.

Officers of law enforcement agencies in Odesa region are not involved in the investigation at Illichivsk maritime merchandise port.

The press service of Public Prosecutor's Office in Odesa region told Interfax-Ukraine that its officers and the officers of divisions subordinated to it are not involved in the investigation at the port and did not initiate it.

Officers of the Chief Department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Odesa region are not conducting an investigation at Illichivsk port, the press service of the regional department of the Interior Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine.

The chief department of the State Financial Service in Odesa region gave the same information to Interfax-Ukraine.

In the morning on Thursday a group of law enforcement officers entered the administrative building of Illichivsk port.

"Employees of the Illichivsk port asked them to present their IDs, although the group did not present them. From the conversations of the persons it was clear that representatives of the tax police from Kyiv and Odesa and Public Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv were working at the site. Floors of the building were blocked and the port's employees were not allowed to enter the port," the port said on its website.

Earlier, it was reported that Head of Odesa Regional Administration Mikheil Saakashvili went to Illichivsk port on July 23 and said that the top managers of the company have been reshuffled.

He brought a decree of the infrastructure minister of Ukraine, according to which Head of Illichivsk port Yuriy Kruk was suspended for the duration of the investigation.
