Poroshenko determined to conduct decentralization of Ukraine – Luxembourg's Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn is sure that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will conduct constitutional reform in the Ukraine to decentralize the regions.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's political will to conduct constitutional reform in the country will allow the decentralization of the country. This is in our mutual interest, Asselborn said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

He said that both countries have a common interest in seeing that the constitutional process in Ukraine comes to life.

As for the situation in Ukraine, he said that the efforts taken under the "Normandy format," including at the level of foreign ministries, were very important. He said that trilateral contacts between Ukraine, OSCE and Russia were supported as well.

In addition, Asselborn said that all the parties involved should do their best to implement the Minsk agreements as there are no alternatives.

Despite the fact that they are very complicated and implementing them in practice is very difficult, everything necessary should be done to stop the bloodshed, to consolidate the parties' opinions and stop murders, the minister said.

According to him, help should be provided to people and weapons traffic should be stopped.
