Ukraine to introduce 25.73% duty on imports of bulbs from Kyrgyzstan

On July 31, 2015, Ukraine will introduce a final antidumping duty of 25.73% on imports of bulbs of up to 200 W (economic trade code 8539 22 90 10) from Kyrgyzstan.

The duty will be in effect for five years.

The decision was made by the Interagency Commission for International Trade on June 23, 2015. The decision was published in the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper on Monday and will take effect in 30 days from the moment of its publication.

According to the document, in the period of investigation (H2 2013 – H1 2014) bulbs from Kyrgyzstan were imported to Ukraine at dumping prices, while imports grew in 2011-H1 2014 by 72.3%, while its share of total imports to Ukraine grew from 18.76% to 36.79%.

The initiator of the investigation was the largest Ukrainian bulb producer Iskra (Lviv).
