Parliament passes bill to increase budget revenues from collection of court fee

The Ukrainian parliament has amended some Ukrainian laws regarding the payment of the court fee and fulfilled liabilities taken for the International Monetary Fund to pass the law no later than May 2015.

A total of 229 MPs supported the document on May 22.

The document proposes amendments that are to influence on the arrival of funds from the payment of the court fee. The number of court cases when the court fee is not paid is to be reduced, and the number of persons who are exempt from paying the fee is also considerably reduced. Benefits regarding the court fee for entities with authoritative powers if the ruling is issued in favor of the party that is not the entity with authoritative powers are revoked.

MPs also supported the amendment made by Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko: the bill will have a requirement that sets the upper limit for the court fee for everyone, including businessmen – 1% of the cost of the risk, but no more than five minimum wages.
