PrivatBank sees UAH 6.4 mln of net profit in Q1, 2015

The net profit of the largest bank in Ukraine – PrivatBank (Dnipropetrovsk) – totaled UAH 6.392 million in January-March 2015 compared to UAH 293.764 million in January-March 2014 and UAH 624.232 million in January-March 2013.

The bank said that its assets amounted to UAH 248 billion as of late Q1 2015, a rise of 21.2% or UAH 43.4 billion in three months.

PrivatBank said that funds in the accounts of its clients grew by 21.9% in Q1 2015 or UAH 30.94 billion, to UAH 172.24 billion, while in 2014 growth was 6%.

According to the bank's quarterly report, its net interest-bearing income was UAH 434.801 million in Q1 2015, while year-over-year the figure was UAH 2.969 billion.

Credits and debts of clients grew by 15.7%, to UAH 186.706 billion.

Reserves for overdue credits reached 12.9% of total credits and debts of clients as of early April, while they stood at 23.2% as of early 2015.

The bank's charter capital remained at UAH 18.101 billion, while net worth grew by 1.8%, to UAH 23.094 billion.

PrivatBank was founded in 1992.

According to the bank, at the beginning of 2015 its largest shareholders were Hennadiy Boholiubov and Ihor Kolomoisky (36.98% each), as well as Triantal Investments Ltd (16.23%).

The bank was the largest bank among the 158 banks operating in the country on January 1, 2015 by total assets (UAH 204.585 billion), according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
