Auchan plans to open KIdeal mall in Kyiv in 2016-2017, OVI in Odesa in 2017-2019

Auchan (France) plans in late 2016 - early 2017 to open the first stage of the KIdeal trade and entertainment center in the Pozniaky residential area in Kyiv, and in late 2017-early 2019 - the first stage of the OVI shopping mall in Odesa.

The investment in both projects has been estimated at EUR 25-30 million.

The plans were unveiled by the director of Immochan Ukraine Philippe Beurtheret at the Real Estate CEO Conference 2015 in Kyiv.

Immochan is a development company which is part of Auchan.

"We are starting the implementation of these projects, we intend to open the object in Kyiv in late 2016-early 2017, in Odesa - somewhere within a year or two after it," he told reporters.

According to Beurtheret, the gross building area of the first stage of KIdeal will be about 20,000 square meters, the gross lettable area - about 6,000 square meters. The gross building area of the first stage of OVI center will be about 25,000 square meters, while the gross lettable area – 10,000 square meters.

"Each first phase is estimated at EUR 25-30 million of investment," he said.

Auchan Group was established in 1961. It is represented in 12 countries around the world. The first hypermarket in Ukraine was opened by the group in late March 2008.
