Ukraine sees 9.1% fall in oil output on country's mainland in Jan-Feb, 8.2% fall in gas condensate output

Oil production in Ukraine's continental part decreased by 9.1% or 30,600 tonnes in January-February 2015 year-on-year, to 307,400 tonnes, a source in the country's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Production of gas condensate was down by 8.2% or 9,800 tonnes, to 109,500 tonnes.

The enterprises of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy, not taking into account Chornomornaftogaz, cut oil production by 9.3% or 29,400 tonnes, to 285,400 tonnes and gas condensate output by 9.6% or 8,900 tonnes, to 84,200 tonnes, of which Ukrnafta – 265,800 tonnes of oil, 9.2% down, and 18,700 tonnes of gas condensate, 20.1% down; Ukrgazvydobuvannia - 19,600 tonnes of oil, 11.3% down, and 65,500 tonnes of condensate, 6% down.

Other companies cut oil output by 5.2% or 1,200 tonnes, to 22,000 tonnes, but raised condensate output by 3.8% or 1,000 tonnes, to 25,300 tonnes.

UkrCarpatOil Ltd. reduced output by 2.7%, to 8,273 tonnes, PrJSC Natural Resources cut it by 35.6%, to 6,664 tonnes, PrJSC Ukrnaftoburinnia produced 6,181 tonnes of oil with gas condensate (39.6% up), PrJSC Naftogazvydobuvannia 5,800 tonnes (44% up), JV Poltava Petroleum Company 5,750 tonnes (20.7% down), JV Kashtan Petroleum Ltd. 5,809 tonnes (8.4% down) and Boryslavska Oil Company LLC 1,950 tonnes (15.6% up).

As reported, oil production in Ukraine (excluding Crimea) in 2014 decreased by 5.8% compared to 2013, to 2.025 million tonnes and gas condensate production for this period decreased by 14.8%, to 704,100 tonnes.
