Dnipropetrovsk Gambit asks for revoking of Ukrnafta dividend decisions

Dnipropetrovsk-based Gambit financial company LLC has filed a claim with Kyiv's economic court asking it to invalidate the decisions passed by PJSC Ukrnafta's stockholders at their general meeting in November 2014.

Having considered Gambit's claim, Judge Yulia Smirnova accepted it for consideration by the court, according to a court decision dated March 10, 2015, which has been made available to Interfax-Ukraine.

The hearing is scheduled for April 1, 2015.

Previously, businessman and former Dnipropetrovsk Governor Ihor Kolomoisky said during a meeting of the parliament's privatization commission on March 4 that the incomplete repayment of Ukrnafta's dividends to the state is related to the refusal of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy to pay for gas produced by Ukrnafta.

As reported, Ukrnafta's stockholder at a meeting on November 10, 2014, decided that the company's dividends worth UAH 3.799 billion, due for 2011-2013, should be paid by April 10, 2015.

According to Ukrnafta, it has already transferred UAH 120 million to the national budget out of the sum.

From 2003 to 2010, Ukrnafta paid UAH 9.093 billion in dividends.

NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 50% plus one share in Ukrnafta, while a group of companies affiliated with PrivatBank's stockholders hold about 42%.
