Kyivkhlib again increases prices of bread by 25-30% from March 12

Public joint-stock company Kyivkhlib, Kyiv's largest manufacturer of bread and bakery products, plans to increase selling prices of bread and bakery products by 25-30% from March 12.

According to a company report, the price of long sliced loaf of 500 grams will cost UAH 7.32 compared to UA 5.34 now, the price of Ukrainsky Stolychny oven-baked loaf of 950 grams is UAH 8.58 compared to UAH 6.90 and the price of traditional wheat oven-baked loaf will be UAH 7.14 compared to UAH 5.64.

"Kyivkhlib suffers from the sharp devaluation of the hryvnia, the exchange rate fluctuations, the galloping growth in the price of flour and other raw materials, as well as the prices of gas, electricity, transport expenses, etc," reads the report of the company.

Kyivkhlib said that the enterprise faces the full stoppage of bread production.

The company said that the prices of grain on the Ukrainian market are formed on the basis of export prices set at ports and pegged to foreign currency.

The Agrarian Fund also increases prices of flour and flour is supplied on the prepaid conditions.
