Ukrainian president signs law on construction amnesty in 2015

A relaxed procedure on commissioning illegally constructed private residential and economic facilities, of the first and second construction difficulty category in Ukraine, will be in effect until December 31, 2015.

The press service of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko reported last week that law No. 92-VII on amending the law on the regulation of town-planning regarding the commissioning of facilities built without permits for construction works was signed by the head of state.

As reported, the legislative initiatives were passed by the Ukrainian parliament on January 13, 2015.

The law, in particular, specified the clauses on the commissioning of private houses, summer houses and economic facilities built without permits before March 12, 2011

It was established that the said facilities were commissioned without permits after technical examination, and no fines are to be imposed on persons who submitted the relevant documents.

The technical examination of private houses and summer houses with a gross area of up to 300 square meters, and economic facilities with a gross area of up to 100 square meters, is to be conducted during their stocktaking, and will have a record entered into their technical passport.

The author of the law is MP Oleksandra Kuzhel (Batkivschyna faction).
