Ukraine needs to focus on quality rather than quantity in the construction of roads, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has stressed.

"I have a great wish that Ukravtodor will include a couple of Germans, who know how to build roads. It is better to build fewer but high quality roads, and then we will not patch them every month," he said, speaking in the parliament.

The premier noted that Ukraine applies the mechanism of using excise tax from fuel sales for road construction.
