Cabinet proposes cutting budget expenses for coalmines by UAH 3 bln due aggression in Donbas

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed that expenses of the national budget for 2014 for support of coal industry are cut by UAH 3.044 billion due to military aggression in the eastern part of Ukraine.

The proposal is stipulated in cabinet's draft amendments to the national budget No. 1125 registered in the Ukrainian parliament.

According to the amendments, expenses on the partial coverage of cash cost of coal will be decreased by UAH 1.827 billion, on reconstruction of coal industry – by UAH 538 million and on partial refunding of credit rates to economic entities by UAH 432 million.

The government proposed that the sum saved will be sent to service state debt, which volume has grown due to the devaluation of the national currency.
