Acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia met with British Foreign Secretary William Hague during the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague, the information policy department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.

During the meeting the sides discussed the situation in Ukraine, in particular the annexation by Russia of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"The British foreign secretary assured Deschytsia of the UK's continued support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and condemned Russia's actions that violate the fundamental principles of international law," reads the statement.

The ministers also discussed future prospects for European integration of Ukraine, as well as the country's cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
