Establishment of cooperation with Russia helped Ukrainian enterprises increase production - Azarov

The agreements on strategic cooperation between Ukraine and Russia reached by the two countries' presidents in December 2012 helped industrial enterprises increase production, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told a briefing following a visit to the special instrument engineering enterprise Arsenal in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"Virtually all enterprises have now increased their production, which is undoubtedly due to the expansion of our cooperation with Russia. It couldn't help but happen after the presidents reached agreements in December 2013," he said.

Azarov reiterated that "a strategic decision on the restoration of cooperation has been made, and it will no doubt promote a full load on plants and enterprises," adding that this applies primarily to high-tech areas.
