SCM selling Ukrainian Pharmacy Holding

The SCM Group (Donetsk) plans to sell Ukrainian Pharmacy Holding, SCM's public relations and communications director, Natalia Yemchenko, wrote on her Facebook page.

"There is a principal decision to sell its pharmaceutical business by SCM," she said.

Yemchenko also said that the deal has not been finalized and SCM does not comment on the details.

She said that SCM is "satisfied with the project and the conditions of the future deal."

SCM is a professional investor that owns and controls assets in mining and metals, power generation and distribution, telecommunications, banking, insurance, media as well as in retail and real estate.

SCM Group includes Metinvest Holding, DTEK, First Ukrainian International Bank, Renaissance Capital Bank, ASKA and ASKA-Life insurance companies, Vega Telecommunications Group, Ukraina Media Group, Segodnya Multimedia publishing holding, ESTA Holding (real estate), Ukrainskiy Retail (grocery retail), UMG (clay production), Parallel (petroleum products retail), HarvEast (agriculture), Ukrainian Pharmacy Holding, Mining Machines holding, Portinvest transportation holding and others.

SCM is 100% owned by businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
